McAlmont & Webb, The Last Bohemians (2019)

The Last Bohemians, the new album from renowned UK vocalist David McAlmont and the distinguished songwriter, arranger and pianist Alex Webb.

On The Last Bohemians, David McAlmont teams up with Alex Webb, a songwriter and musician with a huge range of experience and an ideal partner to ensure that the result of the project is of the highest quality. The synergy between McAlmont & Webb is thoroughly apparent and ever present across the recording. Moreover, some of the UK's finest jazz musicans feature on the album, among them Tony Kofi (soprano, alto & tenor saxes) and Andy Davies (trumpet, flugelhorn). This, combined with alchemic production by jazz veteran Andrew Cleyndert adds new levels of vibrancy to the project as a whole.

The Last Bohemians is the first major recorded work by David McAlmont for over a decade and represents a deeper foray into jazz, with a varied repertoire of originals (including two new songs co-written by David) as well as a wide range of imaginative arrangements that perfectly showcase McAlmont’s vocal talents.
