Lateralize Records is proud to announce the release of Back From The Brink, The Soul Immigrants’ first album in five years.
Recorded live in their South London studio with the help of producer, Kraznet Montpelier, Back From The Brink is undoubtedly the finest album of an illustrious career that stretches back more than 20 years. Having collaborated with a host of legendary musicians that ranges from Fred Wesley all the way through to Nitin Sawhney, The Soul Immigrants have always been driven by a widescreen musical worldview.
Back From The Brink – their debut album for the UK’s finest new jazz label, Lateralize Records - The Soul Immigrants sound leaner and meaner than ever before as they stir up a potent Gumbo stew of funk, soul and jazz with their distinctive British swagger. The album features special guests such as Jamaican artist, Freddie Notes who with his band The Rudies, recorded the global smash hit “Montego Bay” on Trojan records.
Back From The Brink was released on 180g heavyweight vinyl.
